Carrington Donates Medical Supplies to Hurricane Victims Through Congressman Pete Sessions' Initiative

Special Program Developed for Additional Requests for Aid

IRVING, Texas, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Carrington Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ:CARN) today announced it has donated medical supplies in support of Congressman Pete Sessions' (R-TX 32nd) initiative to provide immediate aid to the hurricane victims of the Gulf Coast. Carrington also initiated a special program for individuals and health professionals to send requests for additional assistance or follow up for medical supplies.

A special phone number has been designated for Carrington's special relief program. Individuals and professionals may call 800-471-8817 and ask for "Sheri." The designated customer service representative will assist them in acquiring medical supplies and in expediting shipment.

Medical supplies left Carrington on Wednesday evening, August 31 and arrived in Jackson, Mississippi for distribution on Thursday, September 1. Included in the donation were Carrington-branded wound gels, films, cleansers, odor eliminators, etc. The products are some of Carrington's most effective wound and skin care products used in hospitals, medical centers, nursing homes and home health care centers in the U.S. and internationally.

Previously, Carrington had donated products in the U.S. and around the world for countries including Costa Rica, Honduras, Venezuela, Guatemala, Russia, Africa, China, Vietnam and Tsunami-affected countries. Over the years, the Company has donated millions of dollars in product to various relief programs.
